Girlan - Müller Thurgau DOC 2020

The Girlan - Müller Thurgau DOC is a cross between Riesling and Sylvaner. The loose berries of the grape are fragrant and green-yellow in color.

Most of our Müller Thurgau systems are located at the entrance to the Eisack Valley on sandy soils with porphyry rock at an altitude of 500 - 800 m a.s.l. The remaining systems are located on the glacier moraines of Girlan at an altitude of 450 m a.s.l.

The grapes are picked by hand and delivered in small containers. The grapes are gently pressed and the must is cleared of the sediment through natural sedimentation. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. The expansion takes place in the stainless steel tank on the fine lees.

The slight hint of nutmeg and its moderate acidity are very much appreciated. This wine goes well with starters, seafood, grilled fish and white meat.
