Tenute Olim Bauda - Barbera d´Asti DOC Nice Superiore shines in the glass with purple color. The grape variety used for this is 100% Barbera.
The beautiful city "Nice" is located in Incisa Scapaccino on the winery. The yield can vary greatly and should not be more than 70 quintals, which corresponds to 49 hectoliters of wine, but the climatic differences of each grape harvest can strongly influence these parameters.
After the grapes are harvested from the Nice vineyard between the first and second week of October, the grapes are pressed on the evening of the harvest and placed in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. After the alcoholic fermentation, the wine is stored in 25HL French oak barrels for about 30 months. After bottling, the wine begins to refine in the bottle.
Tenute Olim Bauda - Barbera d´Asti DOC Nice has intense and complex aromas of red fruits on the nose, typical of the grape.
The taste is decisive, full but balanced. Perfectly structured with velvety fullness, finesse and elegance.
The “Nice” sub-area, born with the 2000 harvest, comprises 18 small communities in Monferrato. The wine with this designation must be made from grapes from suitable vineyards in the area and approved for their favorable exposure. In 2014 the new name NIZZA Docg was recognized .
As an accompaniment to grilled red meat, game with traditional spices or aged cheeses.
