Tamboerskloof - John Spicer Syrah 2013

Tamboerskloof - John Spicer Syrah 2013 is structured and balanced, has a garnet-red color in the glass with deep intensity.

A noble but distinctive scent of ripe plums, maraschino cherries, a mixture of spices, black chocolate, cedar and cinnamon develops on the nose.

Full-bodied, noble and full on the palate. The Tamboerskloof - John Spicer Syrah offers perfect lightness. Very balanced finish, griffy, but delicate and fine tannins.

The grapes are picked by hand and only the best are selected for the Tamboerskloof - John Spicer Syrah. The wine is aged for 20 months in 300 liter French oak barrels. 

The labels are printed, cut and glued by hand. Each wine bottle is wrapped in elegant tissue paper and provided with a small Kleinood wine description. This gives each John Spicer Syrah red wine its own liking and personality. 

John Spicer is named after our firstborn child and only son. Tamboerskloof-John Spicer and Katharien are family names. The paternal grandfather was John de Villiers, while Spicer continues to go back to a maternal great-uncle, Henry Spicer Daniels.

The John Spicer Syrah is an excellent gift for special occasions.

Goes well with grilled vegetables, red meat and cheese.
